UPR Training for Civil Society in the Republic of Congo

Over the past few months, UPR Info’s In-country Programme, in collaboration with Plateforme des Droits de l’Homme and Agir Ensemble Pour les Droits Humains, conducted 2 hybrid workshops for civil society in the Republic of Congo to facilitate their engagement in the Universal Periodic Review.

These workshops were part of a larger series that also covered safety measures for human rights defenders.

The first session, held on the 16th of May, focused on guidelines to write an alternative UPR report. The second workshop on the 3rd of November focused on ways to conduct strategic advocacy around the UPR.

The Republic of Congo will undergo its fourth cycle review in January 2024.
