Abordar la violencia de género en el EPU
As part of our 16 Days of Activism campaign against gender-based violence, we are sharing the link to the article published in the Tribune de Genève on 24 November 2023.
The structural dimension of gender-based violence emerges from an analysis of the recommendations emanating from the Universal Periodic Review (UPR).
Since the start of the 4th cycle in November 2022, 10% of the recommendations suggest that States should take measures to put an end to gender-based violence.
Beyond providing an overview of the human rights situation in each country, the UPR is an opportunity for governments to share best practice with their peers to ensure that human rights are respected and protected. To read more, click here.
