UPR reports for Session 23 to be adopted 16-18 March

A draft Programme of work (EN, FR) for the 31st session of the Human Rights Council (29 February - 24 March 2016) was released on 21 December.

The Working Group (WG) Reports of States reviewed during the 23rd UPR session (November 2015) will be adopted from 16 to 18 March 2016. A general debate on the process will then follow.

The WG Reports will be adopted on the following States (in order of review):  Australia, Austria, Georgia, Lebanon, Mauritania, Micronesia (Federated States of), Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, Oman, Rwanda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Sao Tome and Principe.

States under Review are expected to publish in writing their responses to the recommendations received during their review.

NGOs will be given an opportunity to take the floor. The registration on the list of speakers should open on Friday, 26 February at 2:00 pm, CET. Read more here.
