Francophonie's Human Rights Deputy Director joins UPR Info's Advisory Board

UPR Info is pleased to announce the appointment of Martine Anstett, Deputy Director at the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) in charge of human rights, democracy and the rule of law, to its Advisory Board.

Former staff of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (1997-2002), Martine Anstett was Communication Director at Amnesty International France (2002-2005) and then Chargé de mission for human rights at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2005-2009) where she notably participated in the preparation of the first national report submitted by France to the UPR in 2008. Ms. Anstett is now Deputy Director at the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) in charge of human rights, democracy and the rule of law. She notably coordinates the programme which supports OIF member States in the preparation to the UPR and the implementation of recommendations. She also developed the first practical guide for States and other stakeholders for the implementation of UPR recommendations.
