HRC adopts its Review Outcome by consensus

On Friday the 25th, the Human Rights Council (HRC) adopted by consensus a resolution adopting the HRC Review Outcome.

According to the resolution, the ""Outcome of the review of the work and functioning of the United Nations Human Rights Council" will be a supplement to the Institution-Building Package contained in Council resolutions 5/1 and 5/2 of 18 June 2007, as well as in other related Council resolutions, decisions and President's statements".

This adoption concluded the HRC Review process in Geneva. On March the 30th, HRC President, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, presented the Outcome to the General Assembly (GA) in New York. The GA is expected to take a decision on the Outcome by next May, according to the International Service for Human Rights.
