“Some states recommended to Kuwait to strengthen our cooperation with the UN treaty bodies, submitting to them periodic reports, in particular. My country accepted this recommendation and my country decided to cooperate fully with the United Nations mechanisms for the promotion and protection of human rights, so Kuwait presented reports on the following subjects: Covenant against Torture and other Forms of Cruel, Inhuman and Degrading Treatment in May 2011. A report on the CEDAW in 2011, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights in 2011, and All forms of Racial Discrimination in February 2012. And my country asked the OHCHR to establish the dates for the review of the reports under the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.”
