“On 31 May 2011 the Working Group of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the implementation of the accepted UPR recommendations held its 1st meeting with a view of elaboration on the current situation in that regard. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Apparatus of Ombudsman of Azerbaijan and various NGOs. One on the conclusions of the meeting of the UPR Working Group of Azerbaijan was the decision to submit to the Human Rights Council and Office of the High Commissioner of the Human Rights the mid-term report on the implementation of the accepted recommendations by the Republic of Azerbaijan in coming months. While coming up to such important and timely decision the Government of Azerbaijan is willing to demonstrate its persistent commitment to the protection and promotion of the human rights.”
